Silver in Motion

A Palometa glides through the dark water at the Texas State Aquarium in Corpus Christi, Texas. Its streamlined silver body catches the aquarium light, revealing subtle vertical markings and warm golden tones along its fins. The sweeping forked tail and extended fins give the fish an elegant sense of motion against the nearly black background.
