Independence Aboard NASA 905: Icons of Spaceflight

The shuttle replica Independence rests atop NASA 905 at Space Center Houston’s Independence Plaza. Seen across a green lawn, the shuttle’s three main engine nozzles and soaring tail stand beside the carrier aircraft’s prominent NASA emblem. Trees and exhibit buildings frame this outdoor display, capturing the remarkable scale of the shuttle and Boeing 747 pairing beneath a pale blue Texas sky. #EngelPhotography #SpaceCenterHouston #IndependencePlaza #ShuttleIndependence #NASA905 #SpaceShuttle #Boeing747 #ShuttleCarrierAircraft #SpaceHistory #AviationPhotography #Houston #Texas
